This kiln dried Maple burl cookie is of exceptional quality and has been carefully planed on two sides. It is firm throughout with some natural voids and exquisite live edge. It features intricate swirling patterns, eye-like formations, and a rare double burl pattern which adds to its visual appeal and its practical use as a finished table top.

Workability:

Fairly easy to work with both hand and machine tools though slightly more difficult than soft maple due to hard maple’s higher density. Maple has a tendency to burn when being machined with high-speed cutters such as in a router. Turns, glues, and finishes well.
